Swap Murray and Robinson, and I’m also leaning Brian Roberts over Davey Johnson. Brian will always be just like Cal, and Oriole for life, and a second switch-hitter wouldn’t hurt either!
Where is Curt Motton and Chico Salmon?
Not having Ken Singleton in this All Time lineup is a shame
I hate to say it ,God love Cal but what about Mark Belanger?
I would have Roberts playing 2nd over Johnson, Boog DHing, Ken Singleton in LF, and Chris Hoiles catching. I think our fans have a tendency to give more love to the old guys even when they’re less deserving.
@bizum82 –no Boog would be DH. Boog was pretty decent fielder, but Murray was definitely better. Dont know why Sisler is on list.
@FrsBigeasy –u mean because Singleton wasnt juiced up?
Fantastic Video Tribute!
wee wille keeler was definitely missed here
Very good lineup but not sure how you could not have Ken Singleton in it
Interesting lineup I would of had Ken Singleton in it though & not Brady Anderson
If I were an opposing pitcher I would shudder at the thought of having to face a team with Eddie Murray batting in front of Frank Robinson, and Cal Ripken. Eddie’s batting average probably would have been around .340, you certainly couldn’t pitch around him with Frank behind him.. With this kind of lineup though I think I would go with Al Bumbry over Brady leading off. Not sure I’d really have to look at their career stats..
Bmore all day!
